«Ninja Gaiden Shadow (忍者龍剣伝) SGB Enhanced» is a hack of Ninja Gaiden Shadow (Game Boy). This hack adds a custom border and custom colour set to make this game compatible with the Super Game Boy peripheral. Ninja Gaiden Shadow began as a Game Boy conversion for Shadow of the Ninja on NES. This hack aims to improve the player experience by bringing the game closer to the original development of the same as a Game Boy adaptation of «Shadow Of the Ninja». To do so, the game uses the tiles and color palettes from the last level of the NES / Famicom game where the player faced the evil «Emperor Garuda».This patch can be applied directly on this ROM: “Ninja Gaiden Shadow (USA)”.

This rom hack is distributed as an IPS (International Patching System) patch. You'll need to find the Ninja Gaiden Shadow (USA) rom on your own. Once you have it, you can use a website or program like this one to apply the patch to the rom. You'll also need a Game Boy emulator, like mGBAor BGB, to run the patched rom. The patched rom also works on a real Super Game Boy.
